2011 Chrysler 300

 In 2004 Chrysler brought up this magnificent 300C to stop the mustangs, camaros and chargers fooling and cocking about. Although Chrysler did try their best, and they did make it a great car in terms of looks only and forgot about everything else. The brakes were lousy, there wasn't enough torque and car was badly lagging in field and these were the major things before you got to the ride and handling.  

 Despite all the cock-up, 300C soldiered on and came out to be one of the biggest seller for Chrysler. Chrysler became so happy that they decided to make its new model and its all here, The all new Chrysler 300.... 

 You just look at it and you say Whaaaaaooooooo! It is far better than the old 300C. The whole facelift including new grill and lights.

 It still has the same engine line-up i.e; 2.7 L V6 producing around 200bhp and 3.5L V6 producing 250 bhp. And just like before there will be going to be a Hemi version very soon which will be having a massive 5.7 L V8, the same which you get in Chevrolet Corvette, that produces 420 bhp when all eight cylinders are working...

 On the inside they have removed the plastic interior with soft touch materials and you can also have optional real wood trim. The standard car comes with aluminium trim. The new 300 features on board 8.4" Uconnect® Touch infotainment center which is the biggest given in any car before.

 Chrysler have made some changes at the back like the lip spoiler and bigger exhaust tail pipes. There is all new carving pattern on the rear lights...

McLaren announces MP4-12C GT3 racer

You thought 458 GTC will take away the GT3 Championship like Michael used to take F1 championships in 2001-2004? Think again because McLaren has started a development programme that will take standard MP4-12C and will turn it into an absolute animal to hunt down 458 GTC in GT3 championship 2011 season.

Yes you got it right, the above picture is of MP4-12C GT3 which is going to compete in 2011 GT3 Championship along with Ferrari's latest 458 GTC, Lamborghini's Gallardo GT3 and Porsche GT3. Technical specifications will be made public next year but one thing is for sure, it needs to be one hell of a machine to beat 458 GTC.

Ferrari 458 Italia GTC

Here it is, 458 Italia GTC, an ultra stripped put 458 to compete in GT3 championship in 2011 against the bug guns i.e; Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 and Porsche GT3...

 458 Italia then 458 Challenge and now 458 GTC, technical specs will be made public just before start of season next year. But what we are sure of is that it'll be minimum 50-100kg lighter than the standard car and it'll give Lambo n porsche guys a tough competition....

New Dodge Charger and Ford Edge

Dodge rolled the dice first to fully reveal their 2011 line up two months ago. Line up included nitro, avenger, charger, challenger, ram... Center of fuss was the new Charger with a facelift. check out the pictures.

 Just one week after dodge's showdown Ford came on the scene with their stunning new Edge and Edge sport. The two companies along with GM and Chevrolet are expecting a tough battle between each other. It really has become a shell game and a battle of survival for the american giants because don't forget the Japs and europeans are also there...

Gemballa re-tunes Cayenne

People used to ask is there any way to make Cayenne look any bad, Gemballa came along and said yes there is... Gentlemen here it is, its called Tornado like the old Gemballa modified Cayenne but it is 70kg lighter than standard Cayenne.

 They have replaced doors and hood by carbon fibre so now its all very carbon fiberish along with bigger air intakes and more carbon fibre on front and rear bumpers and all this fuss to decrease 70kg from a monster that weighs 2.25tons.

 Don't be fooled because this thing still has got a punch, a big one this time. 700bhp and 0-60m/h in less than 5 seconds. All because of new stage two supercharger by Gemballa which will be fitted to it because its still in its development stages. To stop such a mass, Gemballa has fitted in brembo brakes and lighter alloys.

GT500 burst into flames

The standard Shelby Mustang GT500 explodes during its dyno. GT500 is said to produce 500bhp but when engine exploded it was recorded that it started producing over 700bhp.

Bahria town accident, Supra pics

the_SHIFT has been able to capture some pictures of the Supra which met a dreadful crash at Bahria Town yesterday during a Drag Race competition organized by PTCL. These are the pictures, of the Supra which got totalled, before the start of the race which shot the car to hell. Sadly though even driver couldn't survive that. 

 It is being said that car was fully tuned for this competition with high performance rear tyres and raised rear height for high downforce. The car went out of driver's control on the very last race when it was up against Corvette.

There is no doubt that teenagers love to race and such an incident will be forgotten after a while but what we need to understand from this is that the sponsors should float in some money to make such an event safe. This incident will strike hard upon the future of motor racing in Pakistan, especially the families which suffered will oppose such an event to the best of their ability, but what we need to do is to make it safe. How it could've been made safe well the answer is that there should have been a grill on both sides along with double-stack tyre wall or at least single-stack tyre wall. 

Accident at Bahria Town, initials...

the_SHIFT brings you the latest story of today. There has been an accident at Bahria Town Phase 8 during drag races competition organized by PTCL. Four people got killed in the incident including the driver of the car. All we know at the moment is that it was the last race of the day in which one car went out of control of the driver and hit the footpath later on hitting the spectators.
PTCL did a great job by bringing us such an event for the 3rd consecutive year but this event would have got a lot of admittance if there had been proper arrangements for the safety of spectators. If such an event takes place again then we urge from government and sponsors to float in the money to increase the safety standards. I'll try to bring the latest update from the issue asap. 

Enzo vs CarreraGT vs SLR

 I know you'll straight away say oh dear so old cars, they are but they are still on the front pages. We do accept all three of them as the ULTIMATES...

 About 4 years ago MotorToday tested all these three cars and gave their verdict on each of them. These pictures remained on the scene for sometime but then went away for forever n ever. Nobody was able to see these three masterpieces of engineering in one frame but now the_SHIFT has brought them back on the scene for you people.

 According to MotorToday, considering everything power, handling, reliability, fuel consumption and practicality SLR was the best buy among these three but they also said that if you're 25, then you must have the ENZO because it is just combination of precision and style BUT........!

 .....if you don't care about your kids, you don't care where you'll put your suitcase and all you do care is how to have fun, just fun then you got to have your hands on the mighty Carrera GT... Enjoy the remaining pictures.

First five were named as Top Speed versions which are able to do 259m/h, however remaining aren't... Top Speed versions can be recognized by their black and papaya orange colour.
