The idea is that now you can buy very rare special edition cars offered from McLaren or if you are a money sucking multi billionaire who doesn't have to give away a leg, an arm or a kidney for a car and you made your dream McLaren when you were a kid then you  can also ask McLaren Special Operations to build you one-off dream McLaren for you. According to McLaren they care about their precious platinum buyers and they help them out every possible way. Here are the few projects that has been carried out by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) till now.

Fujitsu's new 4 in 1 concept

Ever wondered what if you have to go out somewhere taking you  laptop, tablet, cellphone and camera along and you get the space for only one? Or you are out somewhere and consider yourself protecting all four of your belongings simultaneously? So for that kind of fuss Fujitsu has invented a solution with their new LifebookTM  concept. The concept is to have a notebook with elegant glass top finishing and a space on the back side of display where you can insert your camera and instead of keyboard you have a space where you can put your tablet, when inserted, tablet works as a keyboard whereas cellphone as separate place. All four come in a box made by Fujitsu and since it is still a concept so nothing can be said about the price but one thing is for sure if it comes out next year then you got to have your hands on one of these.
Notebook will be available with all the variants. In camera expect nothing less than 8MP camera with a 3000x4000 resolution and tablet is speculated to be powered by a dual-core processor with Android OS, your thoughts...?

McLaren P1 at Paris Auto Show

After successful launch and exponential sales of MP4-12C, McLaren is about to strike again with P1 (codenamed project P1). Project P1 has been out there for a very long time now and it is considered to be the successor of the mighty F1, the car that held the fastest production car crown back in the 90s. The design concept of P1 has been officially unveiled at 2012 Paris Auto Show whereas the original car would be officially unveiled next year. McLaren is still reluctant on press releasing the technical specifications of the new super-car.

McLaren says that they have implied their 50 years of racing heritage in designing the car, claiming that they don't want to be fastest in absolute top speed this time, rather they want to build a car that will be fastest on track plus will give proper driving pleasure. They can't be wrong because after seeing MP4-12C, we know that McLaren can do that job well. What we know is that the MP4-12C which McLaren developed from ground zero turned out to be best out of the best, recording second best time on TopGear leader board and also proving itself to be one of the most comfortable super-cars.

Overall the car has a very signifying design but the evil grin at the front kind of spoils everything. The frog shaped rear end with a large rear spoiler which will rise once you will go above 60m/h. So if your spoiler is out, it would mean you are over-speeding and so you'll be ticketed. Nothing can be said about the specs as McLaren hasn't announced them yet but no one should expecting anything less than a shouting super-charged V8 under the bonnet cranking out at least 1000 horsepower with at least 800Nm of torque in order to hang-out with the big-guns primarily the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg Agera and Pagani Huayra. Remaining you have the space below to share with us...

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Starting off with this new face lifted Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. With minor tweaks in the engine Gallardo now performs even better both on road and track. The new Gallardo is characterized by its typical Lamborghinish triangular schemes at the front and rear ends. Apart from the body work, the new Gallardo has been installed with Apollo's Aluminium  finished 18" wheels. It will be available in two more colors which are Matte Black and Pearl Yellow. The rear splitter has been redesigned to let more air pass around the exhaust which has further increased the down-force and hence also helps in efficient cooling of the exhaust.
Lamborghini Gallardo Edizione Tecnica

Then there it is, an exclusive example of engineering perfection, the lightened, tightened, hunkered down variant of Gallardo Superleggera called Edizione Tecnica. Its almost 30Kg lighter then the lightest Gallardo available which means a real deal in track performance. Now the Gallardo is available with six variants for the customers.
Mercedes SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive

The skunk-works at the AMG also have something to offer to add a fury to your wind pipe, get ready for an adrenaline shot cause what we have here is the fast electric super-car EVER MADE!!! Yup, after holding the crown of being powered by the most powerful naturally aspirated engine it has taken another one. The SLS electro does 0-60m/h in an electrifying 3.9 seconds and the AMG people have fitted it with four synchronous motors that provide enormous 1000Nm of torque.
The SLS has been given characteristic sounds depending on the state and place of driving, the car even has a characteristic starting sound to give a feel of a sports car. In addition to that, AMG has installed 'All wheel drive AMG torque dynamics' that efficiently transfers the power to all the wheels depending on over-under-steer condition. Jeremy Clarkson would probably hate this car now..!! but a big leap forward and something to give other competitors as a benchmark in manufacturing of electric super-cars.

Lewis out, Perez in!!!

Once again money wins over ambition, dream and commitment, Yes guys, Lewis Hamilton has signed a three year contract with MercedesGP team leaving McLaren after a life long attachment with the McLaren team. After meetings with Ross Brawn, the team boss of MercedesGP team, at Italian Grand Prix the news has been officially confirmed.
Lewis Hamilton, widely anticipated, hardly accepted, a pure bred racer, who came out of nowhere, first F1 driver from a non wealthy father but wealth changes everything. With a wanna-be beard and a diamond in his ear speaks the volume of his money approach. People are giving different reasons for the departure of Lewis, primary reason is the expiration of contract of McLaren with Mercedes for engines. For 2013, McLaren will have to pay full price for the Mercedes engines so they have to cut budget somewhere.
Other reason being, as mention before, the fame for money. Moreover with the departure of Ron Dennis and arrival of Jenson Button hasn't been welocoming news for Lewis and the attitude of the team changed over time with Lewis. Lewis thinks with the entering of Ross Brawn in MercedesGP, the team has full potential of making him a world champion.
On the other hand, McLaren has been ducking around, rather, team has already signed a deal with Perez for 2013 season. A rookie who is still out there to make his mark. All McLaren now needs to do is to give her gunners a proper racing bred, out gunned battleship, Wishing McLaren all the best for 2013 season.

HTC about to land with Windows8

HTC's Windows Phone 8 roadmap has leaked out, revealing three models with the freshly announced Microsoft OS in the pipeline. In a fashion, similar to the Android running HTC One series, the Taiwanese company will release an entry-level, upper mid-range, and a full-blown flagship handsets.

The HTC "Rio" will sit at the bottom of the range. The entry-level device is expected to sport a 4" WVGA display, 5MP camera and 14.4Mbps HSPA. The CPU will from the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 line, coupled with 512MB of RAM.
The HTC "Accord" will sit in the upper tiers of mid-range devices. It will feature a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2, 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, 42Mbps HSPA+, and NFC support. The CPU in this one will be a dual-core Snapdragon S4 silicon, to go with a gig of RAM.
The HTC "Zenith" will sit on top of the company's Windows Phone 8 range. It will feature a 4.7" S-LCD2 display and 42Mbps HSPA+. The CPU will reportedly be a yet to be announced quad-core beast from Qualcomm. The rest of the "Zenith" specs will be in line with those of the "Accord".

We heard the news earlier that HTC is not going to launch its smart-phones in the emerging markets as they think it would decrease the reputation of the brand. The news caused a great fall to the sales of HTC smart-phones in few Asian and African countries. According to CEO HTC, to get profit out of the emerging markets, they'll have to decrease the quality of their smart-phones by a large amount, a discipline where HTC has never compromised. The new windows range of HTC with Windows8 promises an increase in the sales once again for HTC. For comments you've the space below...

Is Pakistan still worth it?

I was being told from fifth to tenth grade that Pakistan is our beloved country, we have taken it after uncountable sacrifices. Its our motherland and we should do everything to make it prosper and shouldn't even back-up even if it demands our life. BUT I SERIOUSLY DOUBT WE CAN DO IT ANY MORE..!!

Let me tell you my routine, I wake up just to discover there is no electricity, I go to wash room to find out there is no water because the supply water didn't come. I call for the water tanker and the water guy demands for 4-5 times the price mentioned on the rate list for water. If you ask him "Why?" and you get an answer I'm giving you the water so I'll decide the rate. OK FAIR ENOUGH! I NEEDED WATER. Head to the kitchen for breakfast and find out there is no gas coming in the stove because the CNG stations have sucked up all the natural gas we had in reserve. Ok after all that cock up I somehow get ready and reach my office...

The boss first bursts on you, well, because he is your boss, its their nature to burst spontaneously :) of course! but the people of lower ranks doesn't follow your instructions and if you are a government employee (Boy O boy!) they ask for bribe for even bringing you a cup of tea....

Office hours pass by and you come back home and switch on TV (Of course if you have electricity) and all you witness is the DISTRACTION, CHAOS, DIVERSION and DISORDER, the politicians on every channel are babbling around, trying their level best to make people psycho.

Well it was just my daily routine and then the chaos around us is just out of control and people are well aware of that, my point of this post was just to ask if this country is still worth giving life?

I give taxes on everything, up to 33% on basic commodities and what I get back in return is load shedding of over 15 hours (YES! I typed it with all of my five senses working), waiting of over 2 hours for refilling CNG in the car, and then please don't make me open my mouth on inflation...
Is that the same Pakistan which our ancestors left us?

After all that, just for a pump-up there is a song for our OVER  EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT,

I've also got the same thing to say, we need our rights back, give us our rights back and we'll give our lives for this country...

For thoughts, you've got the space below :)

Competition of elegance...

Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is a renowned elegance competition for classic and vintage cars. It has taken place every year since 1929 during the last weekend of April in Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. Since 2011 the event takes place at the second half of May. BMW Group has organised the Concorso, jointly with the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, for the last ten years. Visitors can admire about fifty cars, all built between the 1920s and the 1970s, organized in different categories. Car makers also take advantage of the event to showcase some of their upcoming models.
The competition is also held for the latest concept cars by different elite and normal car manufacturers. Just like every year this year again ten elegant concept cars from all over the world participated in the competition. The winner turned out to be Alfa Romeo 4C.

Alfa Romeo 4C

Last year the competition was won by Aston Martin V12 Zagato, this year Aston Martin came with their AM-310 concept but it wasn't bonkers enough to keep the title... Your thoughts?

Lamborghini has joined in...

Lamborghini supercars... Lamborghini laptops and now Lamborghini has decided to enter a new dimension of technology, introducing latest Lamborghini luxury mobiles and tablet.
The first one on the right is named TL688 Spyder, it has a hand made leather body and a leather back. Has a 2-inch QVGA display, 3MP camera and 4GB internal memory. The complete designing of the mobile is done by the guys at Lamborghini.
Then we have this TL700 smart phone. It is powered by an Android Gingerbread but it can be upgraded to Ice cream Sandwich. The phone can either have leather back or crocodile skin back and the front is gold plated for a pure luxurious look. Other features include Qualcomm processor, 5MP camera and 3.7" display and 4GB internal memory.

And the story doesn't end here, on the right is the Lamborghini Tablet L2800 also powered by an Android 2.3 but will be upgraded to 4.0 in the future. The tablet has got enough punch to keep up with other majors, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, 9.7 inch screen and 4GB internal memory, to be honest the memory is the part where they should have worked out.

On the up side its encouraging to see another competitor emerging out of nowhere and indeed, a major company was needed to keep the competition alive. On the lows we are sorry to tell that the above mentioned products are only available for Russian market but you still can get one imported from Russia B-)
Now the prices, the TL688 Spyder will cost approximately $1850, the TL700 will cost around $2750 and L2800 tablet will cost around $2300. Hoping best for the Rampaging bull ;)

Time to pick up your weapon AGAIN!

Its been very long since we heard from the brain-stormers sitting at the unreal desk. The last of the unreal instalment came back in 2007 which didn't get much fame as the old ones, mostly because of bugs while playing it over the internet. But now the company thinks that its time to strike back with something special and for that to happen, the ingenious minds at the unreal have developed a new game engine called 'unreal 4'. Check out the trailer and leave us with your thoughts about it! ;)

Nation of Pakistan, Falling in Narcissism

If we observe people on roads, streets and markets you will observe that most common thing you hear on roads are abuses and slurs which people just use so much that they are unable to talk without them. Those who use such language think that it’s kind of a cool act, it makes them look cool, but in reality, they look like jerks, who have either ran away from their parents or their parents just threw them away in street from the time they were born, and didn't try to teach their children even a pinch of manners. You can't even say someone that you are doing wrong because everyone thinks that he is the most right person of this universe.

Its said that if you want to know how a nation is, then observe its traffic, while you are driving and if you overtake someone, then some of them will just bet their life to overtake you back. When someone escapes an accident from the edge, they instead of thanking God that their life is saved, start fighting that how the other person dared to come that close to them. Some people just hit the car of other people from behind and started fighting that how dared you to come in front of me. When people come on a big road from a smaller one or are taking a u-turn, most of them never stop and will come even in front of a car going straight at 80 to 100kmph. On road people always try their best to not to give way to any other person, and always want to be in first place while crossing a choke on which signal is not present, they always want that they should be ahead of others. Best example of this thing are the bike riders, when the signal is closed, they just try their best to cross all cars at the signal and stand in front cars in all lanes, and when signal goes green, it takes nerve to overtake them carefully because they are always slower than cars, or second choice you have is that just keep moving slowly behind them. It seems that motorcyclists have also forgotten the fear of death, they try their best to come in front of other cars, it seems that they think that they are of metal instead of flesh; so that nothing will happen to them if they hit a car or get hit by it.

Same thinking can be observed in their lives that most people just want to surpass someone in some field of life. When a child is young, his family and relatives make him work hard to get first position in class, if he doesn't get it, then he is given many examples from his own family that, "look at the son/daughter of your uncle, he got first position, why didn't you get one?". I think such parents just use their children to get something to brag about in their circle of relatives, this is a type of selfishness that they are making their child to work extremely hard to get a medal about which they can brag about. In reality position in school education doesn't matter, and there is only one first position and many students, so only one will get first. Position even doesn't matter in higher education, what matters more is good grades and the knowledge that a child will carry throughout his life. When child grows a bit older, he starts to observe different things, he see his class fellows having different type of expensive things, then he asks his parents to buy him same things, most parents buy their children such things and say that they do not want their child to suffer from inferiority complex, instead of getting that thing for child, he or she should be told that if someone have a thing does not mean that they should also have the same thing and they should not copy others. Sometimes it is also observed that when children get expensive things, they brag about it in their peers, after this other children always ask their parents that, are we poor that you are not buying me such things, then mostly, parents say that we are poor and your rich peer is right or they buy their child what he asks for. But I think if parents try to explain their child that neither we are poor and we are not going to buy you such thing, and a person who brags like this and think that other people are inferior, are jerks themselves, then child will become a better person in the future I guess.

But sometimes even parents after watching other kids say that if other's child have such thing then our child should also have same thing and he should not lag in any aspect and they make it problem of their ego. This whole thing of working for being first in every field of life imparts a bad image on the thinking of the child. These days even commercials on TV show that children want to come first like tiger, and they can achieve it if they eat tiger biscuits hahahaha.

Well when person come in practical life then again his goal is to surpass all of his colleagues, and he should have best car, best home, even best wife then all of his colleagues have lol. This thinking is continuation of the childhood thought to surpass all. These thoughts make people materialistic and selfish and it brings imbalance in a society. Every one only starts thinking about their own benefit, and no one cares about other people.

This thought to surpass all cannot come true for all the people, so this results in further another thought condition, in which person makes his own world in his mind and consider himself a hero in his mind, with time person starts to think that he is best of all and he should be important for all other people. He also needs praise from other people for which outside their family they try to make each and every person happy so that they will praise him, but his attitude becomes worst and worst with strangers, family and subordinates because he thinks that he is best of the best, all other are just scum. One more thing which is common in people of Pakistan is that if something happens to other people in Pakistan, most people don't care much about it and say that its all okay because me and my family are okay, the ability to feel pain of others, empathy, has vanished from our hearts. This is empathy which stops a person from doing bad things to others, and share feelings with other, but if it is lost, person can go to any extent to gain something, and can even kill others to gain something that he wants, and will never feel any guilt and remorse.

This is the condition known as ego mania, and person who is like this is called egomaniac. In science it is called narcissistic personality disorder, but I think that it’s not a disorder, but a set of selfish thoughts which keeps growing on from the childhood.

If we collectively see habits of whole nation of Pakistan, what we mostly see is, jealousy, ego, loss of empathy, selfishness, cold-heartedness, considering yourself the most righteous person, considering yourself the person for whom everyone else should care, and considering that all the bad things of world are happening to you, even if you are getting pay near a million. And all these are the quality of an egomaniac, but still they are not complete narcissists yet, so there is still some hope left.

Our leaders are the best example of such type of personality, but they are also from us and they are representing us, so I will again say that if we want to change our leaders then we will have to change our self first. The best thing which can change us is the thought that everyone has to die one day, no one will remain forever except ALLAH, and every one will be answerable in front of HIM one day.

From this we can also say that belief of Pakistanies in ALLAH and Islam is getting weak

PIEAS

The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (or PIEAS), formerly known as the Center for Nuclear Studies (CNS), is a public and co-educational research university located in the Islamabad Capital Territory, near the remote town of Nilore. It was established by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission under the advise of Abdus Salam. It began as a postgraduate institution in 1967 with the University of Islamabad and achieved independence and its current name in 1997.
I am student of Electrical Engineering pursuing my Bachelors degree, currently in 3rd year. I know its too late to give a review about PIEAS but its never too late and it takes sometime to get to know about a place completely especially if the place occupies more than 150 acres of land.

PIEAS offers bachelor program in two disciplines which are electrical and mechanical. Since I am student of department of electrical engineering so my review will only be helpful for those who are thinking of pursuing bachelors in electrical engineering. Starting off with the university overall, the university timings are fix from 8:30AM to 4:00PM. There are more than 30 buses so there is no problem of transport, you'll get to the university no matter where you live. The university has its own mess for staff and students are also given membership there. Proper meals are served so there is no need to buy junk food from campus canteen, well its really unfair to call it a canteen actually. Anyway, the university campus is divided into blocks from A to I and there is a dedicated block for electrical and mechanical engineering called the DTD block. Campus has a separate Auditorium with a seating capacity of over 400 people.

PIEAS Auditorium                                       DTD Block

Labs are okay as they are enough to fulfil the needs of a batch of 60. Electronics lab is very well maintained with enough equipment to fulfil the requirements of the whole class. There are separate workstations and a group of two students is assigned a single workstations (You can make group with a girl ^_^). The lab of Electric Machines is almost new and it considered to be the best Electric Machine lab in whole country. All the equipment in the lab is new and imported from Germany. Other labs are field specific and you can use them after taking permission from the teachers who is in charge of the lab, these labs include Robotics lab, Digital electronics lab, Instrumentation lab, Signal and Image processing lab and CAD designing lab. Computer lab is also new with over 100 systems and all of them powered by second generation core i5 vPro processors. There is also a small computer centre where you can go in free time to download things (you got that? right? ^_^) and have chit chat with your friends while you surf on the internet.
Classes are all air conditioned and centrally heated except the classes of I-Block since its newly constructed. Projectors are available in every class and the seats are also very comfortable (I always fall asleep ^_^).
Teaching wise its a great place to be, very peaceful environment. Like all other places, there are good and bad teachers but almost all the teachers are really helping, even if someone is not able to help then at least he refers to someone who can ( one or two teachers do such sort of things ^_^). The only problem is that teachers pay a lot of attention to the THEORETICAL part, the teachers do not have an exposure to the outside universities/market so they cannot/do not guide about the future. Let me put it this way that if you're coming to PIEAS then teachers will polish you but then you'll have to figure out all by yourself what you've to do in the future.
Extra Curricular and Recreational activities are almost non existent. There are few societies but since there is monopoly of the old teachers so such activities have to be kept under a controlled environment. The dating thing, intermingling with girls is allowed but to a very little extent, to be honest you have to first find any female in PIEAS as they are considered to be extinct species of humans here( :-P ). If you're are a dat-u type of girl/guy then you'll probably hate PIEAS.
Security is really tight out here as its under Atomic Energy's jurisdiction and we have PINSTECH labs near our university, there is absolutely no entry without university card and you can't bring your car in Nilore Complex until unless it is officially registered at PINSTECH. There is absolutely no concept of strikes in PIEAS and legal action leading to expulsion from university is taken. Also there are no active student federations are PIEAS so its very peaceful out here.
Hostels at PIEAS are considered to be the best in the whole country. Each room is allotted to maximum two students and there is no concept of cubical room so there are no fights for the rooms like in UET or other universities. All the rooms are centrally heated and provided with first class furniture ( Above mentioned things are only available in new H and I hostels ). All the hostels have at least one common room where you can go and watch TV ( sadly PTV only ) and snooker, table tennis, chess and carom board are also available.
Finally students at PIEAS come around from all over Pakistan so there is great diversity found in this respect. Every year 120 students are selected on pure merit basis based on PIEAS entry test. The entry test is conducted all over Pakistan. Since only the top notch is selected so most of the guys are book worms.
For the first day at PIEAS, there is absolutely no concept of ragging at all, the ragging cases are taken very seriously so nobody has ever tried to abide the rules especially in university. Well minor ragging is carried out at hostels like in every other university but it is also very controlled.

Hamdard University, Hamdard Institute of Pharmaceutical sciences Islamabad Campus

On the internet, there is very little information about different universities of Pakistan. So before taking admission in any university we cannot tell how it will be from inside and every one (mostly according to my thinking) wants to know that how the institute will be for them as they will be passing four to five years in it. Our reviews will be focused on the departments in which we are studying so we will not be able to give an overall review of the university.

We Need Change

It has been long time since no has posted any thing on blog, so thought to just write about issues we are facing today.
We all say that government is bad, every one is bad, every one is corrupt, every one is.......... etc etc and the list goes on. But who is this every one, we have never thought about this, we make this every one who are bad. government also consists of people from us. Each person in our assembly and senate is from us. So the problem is in us, we are at fault, and instead of blaming others what bad they are doing we should see what bad we are doing with others.
Changing government is not a solution, next government will also be governed by people from us, so it will change nothing. Just give a position to a poor person of this nation, he will become the worst corrupt person of the nation.
Replacing the faces in power is not a solution, what we need is that we must correct our selves.
The biggest problem i have seen in our nation is that our thoughts are not good. We only think bad about others and we just think that person in front of us is a bad person. We keep bad intentions about others in our heart. First step towards the change is to correct our thinking, and try to lower our anger levels and create tolerance in our selves. The biggest change we need in our thought is to lower our selfishness and increase kindness for others and try to increase empathy in our selves.
Once the thinking of our nation becomes positive, i am sure our country will become better.

McLaren P1 at Paris Auto Show

After successful launch and exponential sales of MP4-12C, McLaren is about to strike again with P1 (codenamed project P1).
