Nation of Pakistan, Falling in Narcissism

If we observe people on roads, streets and markets you will observe that most common thing you hear on roads are abuses and slurs which people just use so much that they are unable to talk without them. Those who use such language think that it’s kind of a cool act, it makes them look cool, but in reality, they look like jerks, who have either ran away from their parents or their parents just threw them away in street from the time they were born, and didn't try to teach their children even a pinch of manners. You can't even say someone that you are doing wrong because everyone thinks that he is the most right person of this universe.

Its said that if you want to know how a nation is, then observe its traffic, while you are driving and if you overtake someone, then some of them will just bet their life to overtake you back. When someone escapes an accident from the edge, they instead of thanking God that their life is saved, start fighting that how the other person dared to come that close to them. Some people just hit the car of other people from behind and started fighting that how dared you to come in front of me. When people come on a big road from a smaller one or are taking a u-turn, most of them never stop and will come even in front of a car going straight at 80 to 100kmph. On road people always try their best to not to give way to any other person, and always want to be in first place while crossing a choke on which signal is not present, they always want that they should be ahead of others. Best example of this thing are the bike riders, when the signal is closed, they just try their best to cross all cars at the signal and stand in front cars in all lanes, and when signal goes green, it takes nerve to overtake them carefully because they are always slower than cars, or second choice you have is that just keep moving slowly behind them. It seems that motorcyclists have also forgotten the fear of death, they try their best to come in front of other cars, it seems that they think that they are of metal instead of flesh; so that nothing will happen to them if they hit a car or get hit by it.

Same thinking can be observed in their lives that most people just want to surpass someone in some field of life. When a child is young, his family and relatives make him work hard to get first position in class, if he doesn't get it, then he is given many examples from his own family that, "look at the son/daughter of your uncle, he got first position, why didn't you get one?". I think such parents just use their children to get something to brag about in their circle of relatives, this is a type of selfishness that they are making their child to work extremely hard to get a medal about which they can brag about. In reality position in school education doesn't matter, and there is only one first position and many students, so only one will get first. Position even doesn't matter in higher education, what matters more is good grades and the knowledge that a child will carry throughout his life. When child grows a bit older, he starts to observe different things, he see his class fellows having different type of expensive things, then he asks his parents to buy him same things, most parents buy their children such things and say that they do not want their child to suffer from inferiority complex, instead of getting that thing for child, he or she should be told that if someone have a thing does not mean that they should also have the same thing and they should not copy others. Sometimes it is also observed that when children get expensive things, they brag about it in their peers, after this other children always ask their parents that, are we poor that you are not buying me such things, then mostly, parents say that we are poor and your rich peer is right or they buy their child what he asks for. But I think if parents try to explain their child that neither we are poor and we are not going to buy you such thing, and a person who brags like this and think that other people are inferior, are jerks themselves, then child will become a better person in the future I guess.

But sometimes even parents after watching other kids say that if other's child have such thing then our child should also have same thing and he should not lag in any aspect and they make it problem of their ego. This whole thing of working for being first in every field of life imparts a bad image on the thinking of the child. These days even commercials on TV show that children want to come first like tiger, and they can achieve it if they eat tiger biscuits hahahaha.

Well when person come in practical life then again his goal is to surpass all of his colleagues, and he should have best car, best home, even best wife then all of his colleagues have lol. This thinking is continuation of the childhood thought to surpass all. These thoughts make people materialistic and selfish and it brings imbalance in a society. Every one only starts thinking about their own benefit, and no one cares about other people.

This thought to surpass all cannot come true for all the people, so this results in further another thought condition, in which person makes his own world in his mind and consider himself a hero in his mind, with time person starts to think that he is best of all and he should be important for all other people. He also needs praise from other people for which outside their family they try to make each and every person happy so that they will praise him, but his attitude becomes worst and worst with strangers, family and subordinates because he thinks that he is best of the best, all other are just scum. One more thing which is common in people of Pakistan is that if something happens to other people in Pakistan, most people don't care much about it and say that its all okay because me and my family are okay, the ability to feel pain of others, empathy, has vanished from our hearts. This is empathy which stops a person from doing bad things to others, and share feelings with other, but if it is lost, person can go to any extent to gain something, and can even kill others to gain something that he wants, and will never feel any guilt and remorse.

This is the condition known as ego mania, and person who is like this is called egomaniac. In science it is called narcissistic personality disorder, but I think that it’s not a disorder, but a set of selfish thoughts which keeps growing on from the childhood.

If we collectively see habits of whole nation of Pakistan, what we mostly see is, jealousy, ego, loss of empathy, selfishness, cold-heartedness, considering yourself the most righteous person, considering yourself the person for whom everyone else should care, and considering that all the bad things of world are happening to you, even if you are getting pay near a million. And all these are the quality of an egomaniac, but still they are not complete narcissists yet, so there is still some hope left.

Our leaders are the best example of such type of personality, but they are also from us and they are representing us, so I will again say that if we want to change our leaders then we will have to change our self first. The best thing which can change us is the thought that everyone has to die one day, no one will remain forever except ALLAH, and every one will be answerable in front of HIM one day.

From this we can also say that belief of Pakistanies in ALLAH and Islam is getting weak
