Is Pakistan still worth it?

I was being told from fifth to tenth grade that Pakistan is our beloved country, we have taken it after uncountable sacrifices. Its our motherland and we should do everything to make it prosper and shouldn't even back-up even if it demands our life. BUT I SERIOUSLY DOUBT WE CAN DO IT ANY MORE..!!

Let me tell you my routine, I wake up just to discover there is no electricity, I go to wash room to find out there is no water because the supply water didn't come. I call for the water tanker and the water guy demands for 4-5 times the price mentioned on the rate list for water. If you ask him "Why?" and you get an answer I'm giving you the water so I'll decide the rate. OK FAIR ENOUGH! I NEEDED WATER. Head to the kitchen for breakfast and find out there is no gas coming in the stove because the CNG stations have sucked up all the natural gas we had in reserve. Ok after all that cock up I somehow get ready and reach my office...

The boss first bursts on you, well, because he is your boss, its their nature to burst spontaneously :) of course! but the people of lower ranks doesn't follow your instructions and if you are a government employee (Boy O boy!) they ask for bribe for even bringing you a cup of tea....

Office hours pass by and you come back home and switch on TV (Of course if you have electricity) and all you witness is the DISTRACTION, CHAOS, DIVERSION and DISORDER, the politicians on every channel are babbling around, trying their level best to make people psycho.

Well it was just my daily routine and then the chaos around us is just out of control and people are well aware of that, my point of this post was just to ask if this country is still worth giving life?

I give taxes on everything, up to 33% on basic commodities and what I get back in return is load shedding of over 15 hours (YES! I typed it with all of my five senses working), waiting of over 2 hours for refilling CNG in the car, and then please don't make me open my mouth on inflation...
Is that the same Pakistan which our ancestors left us?

After all that, just for a pump-up there is a song for our OVER  EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT,

I've also got the same thing to say, we need our rights back, give us our rights back and we'll give our lives for this country...

For thoughts, you've got the space below :)

  2. I agree that pakistan is not worthy of our lives to be secrificed for her. And i think countries are not for what one should sacrifice his or her life, it is the nation for which life should be sacrificed.
And i think problem is that every person in nation is saying saadaa haq ithay rakh, and no one is willing to give any one his or her right. For example, our driver once got caught while claiming fake hotel bill, he then said that its his right to claim it. If you go in AGPR, there clerks say that its their right to get bribe for passing each bill. A road side vendor thinks that its his right to sell things 100 times more expensive than original price, a tanker driver thinks that its his right to sell water at extremely high rates. People stealing electricity also think that its their right to do so.
This problem is that problem which cannot be solved by government, it can only be solved by teaching public about Islam and by banning international media.

  3. well i think its not that we are always asking for our rights, we are asking for our basic rights which are compulsory for a govt to provide to its nation. like take electricity for instant or our security...

  4. Government is willing to give these things, but nation just abuse every thing, 80% people steal electricity, and it goes in line losses. Biggest blunder of this nation is that they support politicians like benazir, they give vote to the most shittiest people of nation. Nation is always thinking that government is responsible for every thing, but in reality nation itself have to make things for itself.

Every one needs to understand that they are part of the nation, they are the building block of the government, what one does affects everyone, and in that everyone the one doing wrong is also included.
Those who are protesting on roads should first try to improve their own character and should try to perform their duties with honesty, after that if government fails then its their right to protest. A line man who is helping people in stealing electricity should become honest first before coming on the streets. People in army should stop killing their fellow pakistanies before complaining about war on terror. A clerk should do everyones work without bribe before complaining about electricity, a public transporter should charge rent of CNG instead of diesel before complaining about shortage of CNG. Every doctor should work full time in their hospital instead of private clinics before complaining about short pays. A milkman should sell pure milk before complaining about inflation.

If each and every one becomes honest, then there will be no need to protest for anything.
People protesting on road are protesting to damage property of others and to loot what ever they get, their intensions are not good.
Due to this 95% nation of mofus remaining 5% are suffering from hell.

  5. But humans always have the nature of falling prey to a bad deed, bad deed always appeals more and if a bad deed is let go unpunished, it simply leads to a chaos which we have in this case. People now have reached to a state of mind where they can't mend themselves so here the govt should play its part. They make some special wing of tested honest people who will check those who are taking bribes or doing shitty things then they should make strong, influential task forces who will visit sites and will punish people who are doing wrong things.
let me put it this way, if 80% steal electricity then govt should generate more to cop the needs, people won't go out on the streets for riots and then govt can slowly cop with the mafias who are stealing electricity...
And well i just cant comment on that army thing cuz that thing has go no solution in my eyes, its just a mess out there. army has got its repo screwed and now it wud be really hard to get it back...

  6. Electricity generation can come online within a day if debt of all power companies is paid. And the biggest problem is that there are not enough people left to enforce the law correctly, most people just try to make money by any mean. NAB was made for this purpose but it proved to be corrupt it self.
Now, i think no one from pakistan can change this whole setup, some other country like china or america can handle it by taking control of everything here. Pakistanies are not capable of running a country.
But other nation's rule on us will result in death on slight mistake, and this will straighten us up i guess.

  7. Yeah that was my point, even if we become good on our part, whole nation will remain as it is, we cant change whole nation. Govt must take some initiative, at least ending this electricity crisis would make this better. People will calm down by leaps and bounds.
Rule by another country especially by america would simply lead us to chaos, they will simply try to extract all our reserves, minerals etc like they are doing in Iraq and Afghaanistan and will leave us in a state of civil war. China is a good option but then our bureaucracy comes in the way! seriously its really F-ed up =P
