TheNews last Sunday

So we are living in a world where everybody speaks about every other thing going on except the real thing. The people love to talk about entertainment, media programs, political chatter boxes, condition of our country, electricity, weather etc etc but nobody talks/wants to talk about the future of our next generation.

It is said that we are Muslims, we believe in Islam and follow the path of righteousness for our own good will but I think we tend to forget all of our moral values when it comes to Media. The so called 'open media' of current Pakistan is going its best to materialize the thinking of our youth and take them morally to a such a degraded level that they do all sort of bad deeds thinking them their right, making themselves confined in a  bunker of 'enlightened moderation'.

I will catch up with the television later, starting off with the print media, just for an example, consider the picture below that I took from last week's TheNews on Sunday.

Now most of the youth won't even bother to look at it but then consider this what if a 12-15 year old boy/girl watches it. What would get induced in his mind? The Ad has simply ruled out 'the division bell' between the two extremes, Islam and the fashion. In my point of view, first of all the two Ads shouldn't be with each other in this configuration.

Secondly the clothing Ad, is this clothing Ad justified in a newspaper of an Islamic State? What would our 12 year old sisters would make out of that? What would get instilled in their innocent minds? This is just one Ad and their are numerous others but nobody bothers to speak against them.

Directly or indirectly we are inducing enlightened moderation in innocent minds of our youth and it is effecting the mentality adversely (Damn right! it is) and the  time is not far away when we will start witnessing the adverse effects of what is going and happening around.

Your thoughts...? The space is right there at the bottom.
